The Leuchtturm pen loop is designed to stick on the inside back cover of any book or diary and hold a pen or pencil. Ideal for keeping a pen handy and available in six colours.

Please note that currently the pen loops come in assorted colours and so we are frequently out of stock of the more popular colours. Why not mix and match the loops with the books and create a contrast?
NB The loops are quite narrow and don't fit wider pens such as the Lamy Safari. The Lamy Tipo (shown) is the widest barrel pen that can be used in these loops.
Also, please note that these pen loops are only usable once, and cannot be reused in another book. The self-adhesive backing will only work the once.

A good idea which on two counts could be improved: Each pen loop is only usable with one notebook/whatever. Industrial strength adhesive makes sure of that. In the case of a diary the thing dies when the year's up. The Post-it note principle is needed here. More aggravating is its inability to hold a normal-sized pen. the only pen I can make fit is the tiny Zebra ball-point. Pencils work better. The obvious answer is to issue the loop in two sizes. Admittedly at £2.25 it's a bargain, still I'd willingly pay more if these irritations were dealt with.

The size is limiting but this is the only version available at present - sorry. As to making it removeable, it is made to stick fast in the book so that it doesn't keep falling off. It has to be one or the other unfortunately.

While an excellent concept, the pen loop is not designed for writing instruments with a diameter larger than a pencil or biro - certainly not suitable for a fountain pen.

this is a sure winner with me like most good things it is simple to use sold at a good price,and if you are like me and keep loseing pens whilst out and about this is a must, the adhesion of the loop is strong to the book and the elasyic is very strong so there is no chance your pen will move unless you move it 10/10 for me

Excellent little pen loop. Size wise though you are limited to pencil diameter writing implements as the loop is on the narrow side - for example - it wont accommodate my TWSBI or Ahab pens. Aside from that, it sticks on well with its adhesive and does the job well.

This pen loop is just fantastic. Well made, good looking and with good adhesive to stick it inside your notebook or diary. Unfortunately I don't own a single pen that fits within the tight elastic band. Luckily it was cheap, and I'll hang onto it in case I find a pen that fits one day.

I have a purple pen loop for my diary, and just bought a green one for my red iPad case, to keep the stylus attached. The glue is strong, the loops look great and do what they say on the tin, but they are on the narrow side and it is a struggle to get the stylus tip in. I will definitely get one for every dairy, though, as I tend to use slimline pens.

I put the pen loops on all notebooks/diaries I use. Leuchtturm, Moleskine, Rhodia all can use a pen loop :) Havn't noticed any problems with the glue so far but I wouldn't recommend it for pens above average width. 12th Jan, 2012 -

Well, probably the best product for diaries out there, I regulary use moleskines and every year I am disappointed to note that a simple elastic band pen loop is still not included. These are a fab' idea for any book or file, folder and a lovely range of colours. They are quite tight though, easily accomodating a standard sized pen, however my Mont Blanc ink and fountain pen wouldn't easily fit but that's ok with me. 17th Dec, 2011 -

A great idea - looks good on my Moleskine notebook but the diameter of the elastic loop is very small which means you can only get a very thin pen or more likely pencil in the loop. Come on Leuchtturm get a grip and make them in different sizes! 1st Dec, 2011 -

I've been looking for a pen loop I can attach to my Moleskine notebooks for ages. This looked like just the thing. Price wise I thought it was fine and it looks good quality. However, the loop is far too tight for a normal sized pen. I can fit a stabilo pint 88 pen in it just but anything bigger and no chance. I do lots of sketching so would rather have a double ended sharpie or PITT artist pen but there is no chance of fitting either of these in it. Overall a good idea but will not buy again unless they change the size.

Bureau reply: This is a common complaint, but there is also the fact that you need the loop to be tight enough to hold your pen securely. It is only suitable for thinner pens - sad to say but a Bic biro works a treat!

The cardboard-thingy sticks to the back-pocket of the Leuchtturms really well, no fear of it falling of. The loop is a notch too small for most fountain pens, and you have to force your pen through the first times, but if you are a BiC user it will probably fit just fine. 10th Nov, 2011 -

I bought this to go with my new Leuchturm1917 notebook, but the only pen I can fit inside its unfeasibly small elasticated diameter is my Cross Spire. Otherwise it's excellent, and the adhesive fit is very strong and robust. 24th Sep, 2011 -

- My Noodles Nib Creaper fountain pen is 11 mm wide (i.e. about 3 mm wider than a Bic Cristal), will it fit into this pen holder?
Bureau replies... I would say yes but it will be quite a snug fit. We will happily have it back for a refund if you are not happy with it though.
- Does the Lamy Dialog 3 fit the pen loop please?

The Leuchtturm pen loops are generally too small to fit most Fountain pens and are more suited to slimmer Ballpoint pens or Pencils.
