Also known as a Webbie, this is a fantastic alternative to the Moleskine range of notebooks. Rhodia are a well-known French manufacturer of stationery, established over 75 years ago, and they have something of a cult following of their own.

These books have a hard-backed leatherette black cover (orange also available) with the traditional removable paper banding. The paper is a luxury ivory 90gsm vellum paper. The books also have an elastic closure strap and hidden inside pocket.

For those in the know, these are the third generation or version 3.0 of the book with lie-flat binding and no logo on the pages.

These books have 96 sheets / 192 pages. These books have lined/ruled pages.

3 stars A little disappointing Written by G.Harris

I bought one of these to try after using a Leuchtturm 1917 for the last 6 months. Despite the Webnotebook's reputation, I found significant bleed through with my Pilot 823 fountain pen, as well as some skipping on the smooth paper.

I fill up notebooks way too quickly, A4 is definitely for me, last a bit longer and I can get more ideas per page, and I was delighted to find an A4 Rhodia Webbie! 90 gsm Rhodia paper, ivory in colour, should have no feathering or bleed through with fountain pen ink, strangely I have experienced a little bleed through, very unexpected, hence the loss of a star. The notebook is bound in soft to the touch hardback, with a useful (and quite substantial) pocket in the back cover and elastic band closure. This book will stand being slung into my rucksack after meetings and everything inside will remain in tip top condition. If you are used to the A5 (or smaller) Rhodia lined pads you will be used to the narrower lines (they are around 6mm apart) - very annoyingly, in this larger book the lines are spaced at 8mm. This is another disappointment with this book, I had expected the standard 6mm ruling which suits my writing perfectly. That said, line spacing is a personal preference and has no bearing on the quality of this A4 notebook. 11th Dec, 2011

Hi! What is the line spacing on this product?

Bureau replies... the spacing is wider than on the smaller books at 85mm. The weight of the paper is also heavier at 90gsm.

                            Yes this pricing is correct,  Rhodia is a premium stationery brand and the A4 Webnotebook's recommended retail price is actually £21.60.
