Half The Pressure, Twice The Speed
These American-made pencils are thought to be some of the finest ever made and are now considered as a prestigious and classic stationery item. They have a proud heritage and famous users include John Steinbeck, Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Bernstein and Chuck Jones, who created Bugs Bunny with his Blackwing.
Discontinued in 1998, they were brought back from extinction by Palomino after petitions and protests in 2011 and are still made from the same Californian incense cedar with the finest Japanese-crafted graphite core. A dream to write with, the Blackwing motto of ‘Half the pressure, twice the speed’ shows exactly why this writing instrument is such a cult favourite.
At Bureau Direct we offer a range of Blackwing stationery, including limited edition pencil boxes. Choose from a selection of exterior colours and 3 levels of graphite firmness. These pencils are beautiful to write with and our collections include replacement erasers and a sharpener, to ensure your Blackwing pencil is always ready to use, and in tip top shape.
