Special Christmas Edition TWSBI Eco fountain pen
Stocks are limited so once they are gone ....
The TWSBI Eco is a piston-filled fountain pen so no cartridges are needed. Ink is drawn straight in to the clear barrel by an in-built mechanism so you can see exactly how much ink you have. And with the ink on view, you can enjoy looking at the ink whilst pondering what to write next.
The cap and end are hexagonal so the pen won't roll when the cap is on or posted. The pen comes in a gift box with a special spanner and silicon grease so that you can maintain the pen. A leaflet is provided and there are instructions here under the Additional Details tab which explain the basic maintenance tasks.

When refilling your pen
Included in every ECO fountain pen is a quick reminder to wipe the ink off the nib and feeder right after you fill up the pen. This is an important step; only needed when you ink up/refill the pen. If you don't do this, your pen may leak!
Re-greasing your pen
Every so often, approx once a year depending on use, you will need to re-grease your pen using the grease provided. To do this firstly empty the pen of ink and flush with some water. Then unscrew the piston to expose the gap and then use the red tool/wrench provided to remove the pistom mechanism from the pen (turn clockwise). Once out, apply a small amount of the grease to the sides of the plunger by dabbing repeatedly. You only need a small amount so cotton buds are good for this. Re-insert the plunger into the pen and rescrew together. Refill the pen with ink and remember to wipe off any excess ink as above.
When refilling and changing nib/feed
By removing and reinstalling the nib/feeder, air is allowed inside the barrel, causing an imbalanced pressure within. The result is ink being pushed out at a rapid rate. Therefore, after reinstalling the feeder/nib(make sure feeder/nib are seated properly at bottom of the feeder chamber), please remember to use a cloth/tissue to soak up all excess ink on the feeder (Do this also after refills). This will balance out the ink/air pressure inside the feeder and barrel, ensuring smooth operations
